NEFFA 2012 Performer Application Procedure
To NEFFA Performers and Friends:
The NEFFA Program Committee invites you to propose an event for the
68th annual New England Folk Festival, which will be held from Friday April
20th, through Sunday April 22nd, 2012 at Mansfield (Massachusetts) High and
Middle Schools.
| DEADLINE MIDNIGHT OCTOBER 3rd! |
In addition, please:
-
READ ALL of this letter carefully!!
-
We receive applications for more events than we have space for at the
Festival. While we try to include as many different performers as possible,
your event will have a better chance of being scheduled if it is participatory
in nature, tradition-based, and intended for the general public.
-
We seek events run by people who have excellent performance, teaching and/or leadership
skills, and who approach their material with a positive, inclusive attitude.
Particularly for dance events, we prefer to use live music whenever possible.
-
NEFFA is an all-volunteer festival. No performer is paid for
participating. However, each performer will receive an all-session
pass to the Festival. ONLY performers receive these passes
(not family members, friends, coaches, etc.)
-
The Program Committee only accepts electronically submitted applications. If this is not possible for you, contact Linda Leslie (at laleslierjg (atsign) comcast (dot) net, 508-999-2486 (home) or 774-263-0620 (mobile) ).
