Call For Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for NEFFA. We are full up on volunteers for the 2022 Festival, but hope you will consider volunteering next year, when we expect to be live, in-person, in Marlborough, MA! In the meantime, please come and enjoy the online festival!

To keep the information accessible, here is what our volunteer needs are/were for 2022:

Because the 2022 Festival is online, our volunteer needs are a bit different than an in-person year. Here is a description of the volunteer crews we will have.

NEFFA sessions will run via Zoom. All tech positions this year will be on Zoom. Our internal communications during the festival will be on Discord. Training will be provided for both platforms.

Cafeteria Host — Helps attendees get to the Zoom breakout rooms where sing-alongs, meet’n’greets, etc are taking place.
Video Editor — Pre-festival, help mix together a range of videos and music to be made available during the festival.
Source Connect Tech: Use SCN for live performances.

(All hosts may help attendees solve basic Zoom issues and/or direct them to our NEFFA help desk for support.)

NEFFA Revenue Share

This year, we are not charging a fixed fee for a NEFFA ticket. Instead, we are encouraging attendees to donate to the “NEFFA 2022 Fund.” After covering the fixed costs of running the Festival, including some portion of hotel cancellation costs, this fund will be split among the NEFFA performers and skilled techs who are offering their time and talent to make this online Festival happen. Our aim is to help support the extended NEFFA community through another difficult year, especially those who have experienced reduced work or financial hardship due to the pandemic.

People who perform tech job(s) for at least five events or eight hours are eligible for the revenue share.
