NEFFA is a volunteer-run Festival. Over 250 volunteers are needed to set up dance floors, hang signs, staff the Information and Membership tables, run sound boards, put everything away again once the Festival is over, and much more to make the Festival a wonderful experience for everyone!
Signing up early gives you the best chance of getting time slots and jobs you prefer! There are volunteer jobs for every level of interest, from a single hour to multi-year commitments. There are volunteer jobs for everyone from ages 8-108. Bond with a volunteer group or work independently. Training is provided as necessary. Six hours of volunteering earns you a free, full-festival ticket!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:
Safety Volunteers keep traffic moving in our hallways, make sure rooms aren’t filled beyond fire code limits, ensure that all attendees are visibly wearing a NEFFA ticket and assist in the event an emergency situation occurs. We are looking for people who can be both assertive and a calming force and ideally are open to working in this capacity for several years in a row. Training will be provided over Zoom in advance of the Festival and on-site before the Festival opens on NEFFA Friday.
