Annual Ralph Page Dance Event

Who Is Ralph Page?
Learn more about this iconic New Hampshire caller and his enduring legacy of New England dance.

January 12 & 13, 2024

The 36th Ralph Page Dance Event was a great success! It was held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester (where the monthly Worcester dance takes place) at 114 Main St, Worcester, MA 01608.

The 2024 event began on Friday January 12th, an evening with Tod Whittemore calling to the music of the Sugar River Band.

Then on Saturday, January 13th, Lisa Greenleaf and Dudley Laufman led us in dance, music and levity with the Canterbury Country Dance Orchestra, Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki, Vince O’Donnell and Sue Hunt providing the music. As always, it was a grand time (with a Grand March!) with a special tribute to the lifetime achievements of Dudley Laufman and Vince O’Donnell.

Why Worcester?

After an extensive search, The Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester met all our criteria (excellent dance and workshop spaces, easy access to major roads) and, most importantly, the Wesley United Methodist Church is enthusiastically embracing the event.

While RPDE may be changing locations, it is still focused on what we do best: preserving our heritage of New England dance and fostering a community of dancers eager to keep these traditions alive.
