Do you use a hearing aid, a hearing app, or a cochlear implant or do you simply have trouble hearing? NEFFA 2026 is trying out technology to help you get more out of the Festival. We will be trying it out in the Seminar room.
Salient points
- The product vendor is ListenWiFi
- You can use its app on your smartphone or use a separate receiver that NEFFA will lend,
- We have two receivers you can borrow.
How to use it
- If using a smartphone, download the ListenWiFi app, preferably before you arrive in Seminar. The ListenWiFi app is available for both Android and iPhone users.
- Once in the Seminar room, follow the directions printed near the doors to connect your phone to the room’s dedicated WiFi.
- Start the app!
- Use a wired headphone or earbud if possible. Using BlueTooth will introduce lag, which may impair your listening experience. This is especially important if you want to sing along or dance along.
- If you want to borrow a receiver, ask someone at the sound desk at the top of the room.
- The reciever will have an earpiece you can use. It goes on the back of your ear.
- If you need a telcom loop for your cochlear implant, let us know.
- Be sure to return what you borrowed before you leave the room!
Let us know how it worked for you! Use the link below to provide feedback. We may be able to make tweaks during the Festival, so don’t wait to tell us about problems!
Thanks for helping NEFFA with this.
